Ohm's Law Calculator (“the extension”) is a Chrome extension that calculates voltage, current, resistance and power from any two known values. This policy explains what the extension does and does not collect.

What the extension does NOT collect

• We do not collect the values you enter into the calculator — voltage, current, resistance and power are computed inside your browser and never leave your device.
• We do not collect the contents of the pages you visit or your browsing history.
• We do not collect your name, email, IP address, precise location, or any information that identifies you personally.
• We do not use analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, cookies, or any usage statistics — anonymous or otherwise.
• We do not use advertising networks, and we do not sell or share data with anyone.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension sends no events anywhere, so there is no identifier attached to you, no analytics provider, and no third-party data processor involved.

This is enforced by how the extension is built. It requests no Chrome permissions at all — its manifest contains no permissions and no host_permissions entries — so it has no technical ability to read the pages you visit or reach your browsing data. It makes no network requests of any kind, stores nothing in browser storage, and works entirely offline after installation.

Welcome page

When you install the extension for the first time, Chrome opens a one-time welcome page hosted on GitHub Pages, which explains where to find the extension in your toolbar. Like any website, GitHub's servers may log standard technical information such as your IP address when the page is served. This is GitHub's own infrastructure logging, is not used by us in any way, and does not happen again after that single first-run page. The page opens only on a fresh install, not on updates.
